Shoni Bay: the story of a bay
The resort takes its name from Marsa Shoni — مرسى شوني — a natural inlet on the southern Red Sea coast. Over thousands of years, seasonal floods from the Eastern Desert carved a sheltered bay with a soft, sandy floor, unlike most of this coastline where coral grows right up to the shore.
Shoni Bay Resort sits just 15–20 minutes south of Marsa Alam International Airport (RMF), wrapped around that same sandy bay. Our staff have been with us for years — many for over a decade — and they're the reason guests come back.
Our buffets feature Egyptian and international dishes, our beach is groomed at dawn, and our dive centre has guided more first breaths underwater than we can count. We're not a chain. We don't aim to be the biggest. We aim to be the one you remember.

The southern Egyptian Red Sea coast is quieter, warmer, and wilder than the north. Marsa Alam International Airport (RMF) is just 15–20 minutes away, and from there you'll find pristine reefs, dolphin houses, and desert landscapes — all within easy reach.
